Pigs Might Fly Watch Them Race around the Track
Raising funds for schools is not easy, and hard working parents do so much to help with this important task for schools.
Beachmere State School student numbers are not the biggest in the region, but they have an enthusiastic bunch of students and families, and a relatively small surrounding population so they have to be somewhat innovative and seek the support of local businesses.
One that always supports the school is the Beachmere Tavern, the hosts of the next Pig Races to raise those always needed funds!
A few days after everyone watches horses run around a track, you can joi in the fun at Beachmere and watch cute little pigs run around their track, although much smaller. The cute little porkers seem to enjoy their track run, perhaps because they are rewarded at the end! It is on Saturday November 14th, and starts at 10 am, and there will be lots of entertain at the Bechmere Tavern Annual Pig Races. It costs nothing to attend, however you are invited to spend a dollar or two (or more) on the races.
It is a lot of fun, with other actiities too including rides and games, face painting food and drinks, a petting zoo and Live Entertainent from 3 pm.
Where's Beachmere? Just head north to the Bribie Island turn off and look for the signs to Beachmere – to this great little seaside village with plenty of magic!! You are welcome to help with the fundraising for Beachmere State School.
So, remember the date - Saturday November 14th - at 10 am.
