Gala dinner to celebrate WA's finest wine and produce
It's hard to imagine anything more West Australian than Rottnest scallops, Linley Valley pork from the Porongurups and Butterfield Black Angus beef from The Great Southern.

But throw in this year's award winning wines from the Wine Show of Western Australia and you have the makings for a dinner as West Aussie as black swans and kangaroo paws.

All the wines in the awards, which will be announced at the Gala Wine Show dinner at the Hyatt Regency in Perth on Friday October 27, are made from 100 per cent WA grown grapes.

The black tie dinner will have a menu matched to the trophy winning wines. Tickets for the dinner are available for $185 or $1750 for a table of 10.

General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Perth, Sholto Smith said the dinner was an important part of its social calendar.

"It promotes West Australian produce and wines in an area that has come up in the world and is something we feel is local, a West Australian story that has very much become a Hyatt story as well," Mr Smith said.
