The Northern Light Theatre Company presents 'Annie' playing at The Shedley Theatre from Friday October 13th until Saturday 28th October at 8pm, with matinee performances Saturday October 21st & Saturday October 8th at 2pm. Adapted from the book by Thomas Meehan, Annie is a broadway musical with music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin.

This production is Directed by Fran Edwards with Sue Pole as Assistant Director, Musically Directed by Katie Packer and Choreographed by Laura Brook. It's the story of orphan Annie who lives in Girls' Annex Orphanage ran by Miss Hannigan. She lives with six other girls, Molly, Pepper, Kate, Duffy, Tessie and July. Annie spends her days in hope that one day her parents will come back for her. When the wealthy Sir Oliver Warbucks decides he wants to adopt an orphan two weeks for Christmas, Annie volunteers. She is excited to see a world outside of the orphanage and receive presents for Christmas.

When the two weeks are up, Mr Warbucks wants to adopt Annie for real but she still believes her parents are coming back for her. He makes it his mission to find her parents and make her happy because he loves her like his own child. Will Annie find her parents or will she go to live with Oliver 'Daddy' Warbucks?
