A solo exhibition of the latest art pieces created by local artist, Annette Wiguna has just opened at the Victoria Park Centre of the Arts.



This is Annette's second solo exhibition demonstrating her creativity through acrylic on canvas, showcasing her observation of combining textural and colourful rhythm of our physical landscape.

A selection of wearable silk and felted pieces accompany the exhibition, demonstrating the recurring use of earthly colours. This tactile element of the exhibition also serves as a reminder of how the landscape plays an influential role in body adornment.



All pieces were handmade by Annette, who has led many workshops on feltmaking.

The West Australian landscape has been her primary source of inspiration and as a platform in which she explores her cultural identity.

The exhibition is currently on now until the 10 July. All paintings are for sale. Entry is free.

Open hours are Monday to Friday between 10am till 2pm except on Fridays closing time is 4pm.

The Victoria Park Centre for the Arts is located at 12 Kent Street in East Victoria Park.
