The live music will include performances by the very impressive local band of year 12 students called, White Picket Fence. The band will be playing live music in 30 minute sets pumping out all the latest hits and many other favourites during the afternoon to get those feet in the mood for dancing. During the breaks the DJ takes over to keep playing all the latest and best recorded music.
The combination of the White Picket Fence and the DJ sets up 5.5 hours of continuous wild dancing and bopping to all the favourite songs by famous artists so the kids get to hear great current music both live and recorded.
Blue Light Discos have always attracted broad community involvement but, the SUPERSIZED disco is something extra. For a start, it's held on Saturday allowing the kids can get there earlier and have more fun with all the diverse attractions on offer. As with other years the SUPERSIZED disco is expected to attract people from all over the southern suburbs and beyond not only from Annerley.
The kids, and their parents, always enjoy the SUPERSIZED fun and community atmosphere at the event. Parents are welcome to stay and join in on the fun but only on the strict proviso they do not embarrass their kids by dancing in front of the kids' friends!
The Annerley Blue Light Disco Association is a not-for-profit organisation running monthly discos for school aged children. Blue Light Discos are Drug and Alcohol Free events and are organised to provide safe places for kids to have fun. Police officers and community volunteers are always in attendance to supervise all Annerley Blue Light Disco Associationevents.
This is one place you can leave your kids and relax knowing they are going to have a great time and be completely safe.
