Annerley Junction Jumble Sale (Going Global!) 2016



This year's Annerley Junction Jumble Sale is set to be the biggest event for the shopping district yet. The Annerley Junction Trader's Association has teamed up with MDA (Multicultural QLD) to bring cultural stalls and performances to the usual markets stalls.

The ladies and gents from the local church will be selling their cakes and sweet treats along with having a good old fashioned sausage sizzle and craft stall. There are many beautiful handmade creations to choose from with knitted, sewn and beaded items all at bargain prices.



This year, there will be roving performances which will highlight the cultural diversity of Annerley which has large groups of people from many different countries and cultures.

Each year the event has grown and now around 5000 people attend to eat, browse and pick up End of Financial year sale items. I've always found something perfect for a birthday or other gift, or just for myself.

You'll find vintage and antique wares at Southside Antiques and beautiful designer fabrics at Voodoo Rabbit Fabric. There is a huge range of things to choose from and you won't go home empty handed.



With their local mascot, Anna Lee (the Koala), you might find yourself taking selfies with this Annerley celebrity for her Twitter feed. This is their way of promoting the suburb and getting people involved in events and activities in the local area.

With some free live music, cakes and treats to buy along with the good old sausage sizzle, it's an old fashioned street fair at its best. Lots of fun to be had for the whole family and so much to see and do.
