Taking you in and around Brisbane (and sometimes beyond)

Catch the community vibe
I must start out by saying I could be a little biased. But there is this quaint little spot on the southside of Brisbane, only 5km from the city, that is home to the best street in town.
Now, when I tell you its Ipswich Road, you will think I am mad. But please humour me ... there is a part of that busy thoroughfare that starts at the old Muddy Farmer - now The Junction and spans about a kilometre - and I think it's the best street on the South-side.
Home to a great community, with lots to do and see - this has got to be one of the greatest [read quirkiest] streets this side of the river.
While taking a stroll down "Annerley Junction" you are likely to stumble across some yarn bombing and other festivities (which changes throughout the year, but is famous for keeping our streets warm, fresh and happy) ....
Local artisans have all jumped on board to make Annerley hum with a awesome community vibe. While you are here checking out the street scape, why not do a little shopping too ... 1. Handmade Hight Street- for some local artisan shopping. 2. Dudley Street Espresso - for the perfect sandwich and coffee.
6. Regain your Zen with some Yoga at Vida Yoga .
7. Wander through one of the many Vintage, Antique and Op Shop Stores.
8. Check out Fats Comics.
9. Down a soothing ale at The Junction .
10. Dine on the Astro Turf: I recommend their banana bread at Groove Cafe.
