AOTM brings the animals to the kids
The next time you go to Bunnings, you might find something that's not in the catalogue. Animals On The Move (AOTM) is a mobile pet outfit that brings the animals to the kids so you don't have to take them to the farm.

I stumbled upon them one weekend on the hunt for a BBQ tank, which side-tracked my shopping trip by 15 minutes. But it was a delightful 15 minutes, especially for the kid who was thrilled to pet a bunny and guinea pig for the first time in his 3 year-old life.

The AOTM people have a nice little set-up with kid-sized chairs all around the animal area.He puts a towel on your little lap and the little creature goes on top.

In this instance, there were Mini Pets - chooks and guinea pigs, hamsters and rabbits. But AOTM also does other packages like Bush Babies (birds, reptiles, marsupials), camel rides and milking demos.

The Bunnings promotion was just a taster of what AOTM can offer. A lovely idea for kids parties, kindergarten visits or other events where it might be more convenient to bring the animals to the kids rather than the other way around.

What I liked most was that the AOTM handler was as good with the animals as he was with kids. My boy started off petting (swotting) the rabbit on the head but in the end, he was the gentlest I've ever seen him.

Teaches kids to care for animals
