Providing Kids With Safe Homes
Anglicare foster care
Could you foster her?

Have you ever thought about fostering a child but weren't sure whether you could, whether you should, or what was involved?

Come to an Anglicare Preston Foster Care Information Session to find out more.

Here you will learn that foster carers can come from all sorts of backgrounds. You might be working full or part time, at home full time, single, in a long term relationship, male or female.

You don't have to be a superhero to become a foster carer

You might provide a safe and caring home environment for a child or young person for anything from a few hours to a few years; continuous care or regular short term care.

There is a chronic shortage of foster carers in Australia. Kids need safe places, so if you've been thinking about offering a safe haven, now is the time to act and find out more.

Anglicare provides initial and ongoing training to foster carers, 24 hour support and networking opportunities with other carers.

What a fantastic thing to write about - I have a single friend who is a foster carer, and she is one of only 2 or 3 people who do emergency care in the whole of the east of Melbourne, which seems hard to believe. I know she gets a great deal of pleasure out of being involved in helping in this way. J
