Angelo's Cabarita is a hidden treasure. Angelo's specialises in modern Italian Australian fusion and once we saw the menu, we knew we had to give this restaurant a try.
My partner and I lucked upon it on a walk discovering some of Sydney's beautiful harbourfront walks in the inner west.
The location is right on the water and we were lucky to receive a beautiful table with a stunning water view. The restaurant is airy and light and there were several group events being held. We noted that Angelo's is perfect for a birthday party, christening or large celebration. The
menu is a la carte or caters to a group booking.

The lovely view from our table
We had our 10-month-old with us and the staff was so accommodating and friendly with our baby from the start, even offering warm water so we could heat up her baby food.
We decided to splurge and ordered appetisers to start with. The warm assorted bread came out first. So delicious, the perfect texture to the bread with the high-quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Next, we shared the Fremantle octopus leg and the rolled gold curds. The octopus was incredible with the capsicum based sauce, it was quite a treat. The rolled goat curds were a rich and savoury dish that we both really enjoyed. I topped it off with a glass of the St. Tropez Rose, a rose I highly recommend for it's light and delicate flavour.

We were off to a good start with the starters
This is a restaurant to come to when you have time to savour your food and company. After those incredible starters, not long after came our mains. We decided on sharing the hot seafood platter, grilled salmon and the fennel witlof salad.
I am not exaggerating when I say the seafood platter was the best one I have ever had. The calamari was lightly dusted in spices and fried, the scallops and prawns were so delicious. I do not usually eat fried fish but this beer battered fish was divine. I could not stop eating it, it was that good. The fennel salad was unique and refreshing, and the salmon was delicate and flavourful.

Incredible Seafood Platter, Salmon and Fennel Salad
Somehow, after our sublime meal, we had room for dessert. We chose the hazelnut and rhubarb torte. They actually used hazelnut flour in this torte and it was exquisite. The combination of the hazelnut, rhubarb and double cream left us very satisfied.

The family was very satisfied by the Angelo's experience
Angelo's Cabarita is one of those really special restaurants where the staff takes time and cares about its customers, the views are spectacular and the food is top notch. It had been a long time since we'd had such a great dining experience on every level, give Angelo's a try, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.
