When you cross the foot bridge to the north riverbank of the River Torrens you'll find yourself in

, like many of the parks and gardens in the CBD, goes not feature a playground or toilet facilities. This does not stop it from being a nice picnic or lunch spot in the city. The gardens have open space, and trees for shade, and there is a barbeque for cooking up some tasty food. feature tables to enjoy your lunch, or benches to sit on. If you like you could also always just pull up a picnic blanket and enjoy your spread on the grass.
One of ' beautiful features is its rose garden. This sits to the east of the barbeque spot. In winter the site seems a little dull, but when you visit the gardens in spring the gorgeous flowers blossom. It is a beautiful spot to sit and appreciate the surrounding River Torrens amongst an equally lovely scenery.
Save some money next time you visit the Zoo, and cook up some of your own food at this nearby park. is also in a prime position along the River Torrens walking and running path, so stop here for a break while you get your exercise. There is plenty of space for kids to run around, and some nice sights to see.
