By far the best pizzeria in Meadowbank.
Just over one month ago I stumbled, purely by accident, upon a tiny little "hole in the wall" restaurant that had just opened in Meadowbank opposite the train station in that little villagey strip of shops. Curious, I went in and spoke to the owners and discovered that
Anema e Core, which translates into "Soul and Heart", had just opened one week ago. Having previously worked at one of Sydney's most popular pizzerias in Lane Cove, these young Italians had decided to open their own Pizzeria/Café, specialising in traditional Italian wood fired pizza which you can order by half metre, metre or standard 13 inch round. And boy are they good!

Having dined here about 4 times so far, I have nothing but praise for the food and friendly service and am happy to see that the business has picked up so much they have extended the outdoor dining area and now have two outdoor undercover sections. It seems all the locals agree that the food here is exceptional, they definitely put soul and heart into their food.

come in for a delicious lunchtime panino
Their nightly specials are always enticing and they also offer antipasti, pasta and desserts. Open for lunches as well, stop in for an Italian panino. No time to sit and eat? They have a thriving takeaway service too.

The restaurant is currently BYO but I believe they are waiting for their liquor licence and are currently closed Tuesday nights - please check their
Facebook page for updated closing times.
