Swim, play and picnic in the park
Andy Williams Park, located in the Moreton Bay region, is often overshadowed by the nearby Cedar Creek Swimming Holes. This is rather surprising, as it provides access to the same refreshing creek, plus amenities!

This venue is ideal for families seeking shallow water and space to spread out a picnic blanket or chairs. Andy Williams Park boasts a large grassy area leading down to a tree-lined section of Cedar Creek. Here you will find children excitedly splashing, rock hopping or investigating the creek bed for marine creatures.

Nature play is key to enjoying Andy Williams Park. Groups of children skim rocks, build rock towers/dam walls or race leaves in the gentle current. This extends to the surrounding bushland with children digging tunnels, swinging from branches or creating shelters.

Facilities include two gazebos with tables and chairs, barbecues and a toilet block. Despite the limited picnic shelters, this venue is very popular for picnics. Visitors take advantage of the large lawn area or gather under the shady trees by the creek. If you are not requiring the use of the barbecue, a creekside picnic is strongly recommended. This allows families to relax afterwards whilst actively supervising children playing in the water.

Another highlight of Andy Williams Park is the presence of peacocks! They are quite friendly and will often approach people in the hopes of receiving food (even children!) Feeding the peacocks is not advisable, visitors are encouraged to simply admire the beauty of these creatures.

A small bitumen car park is provided, although this tends to fill rather quickly. A grassy reserve suitable for parking is located approximately 200m after the park.

I'm sure the park is probably named after a local but it also made me think of the American singer Andy Williams
