Taste buds celebrate in Rockingham's secret location
Away from the regular hub of restaurants along the Rockingham Foreshore and tucked away in the business district of the City centre is a connoisseur's delight; Andiamo a licensed Italian Cafe / Restaurant.
The restaurant at first view definitely gives the feel of a typical cafe, however step inside and you will find it cosy, not cramped, classy but not snobby and very much like a fine dining restaurant on the inside.
The service we experienced at our 10th year anniversary was outstanding. For a pleasant start the waitress knew the menus without being patronising. The owner himself, Andre De Luca, came out himself to congratulate us and knowledgeably selected our wine for us.
In a truly ambient, relaxing atmosphere, you never felt rushed between courses, yet you never felt like you were waiting either. It was private and personal whilst the staff were attentive; they seemed to get the perfect balance.
The food was of the highest quality and you pay for the quality of the food, not the quality of the location and it was money well spent. It deserves of its 2013 Restaurant and Catering Awards - expect more to come from this restaurant.
The menu featured a mix of traditional Italian cuisine, through to meals for a slightly more refined or adventurous palate and every mouthful was a total taste bud celebration. There was a good selection of local and imported wines, as well as your regular spirits and beers.
So if your happy to step away from the Rockingham Foreshore and don't mind spending money to appreciate excellent service and culinary perfection, I highly recommend Andiamo for a few hours of truly relaxing romantic meal.
