As winter is on its way, there is not much time left for hot sunny days on the water. So, if you are looking for something to do over the weekend, when it is still warm and your inner self still wants some time under the sun, consider hiring a small boat and spend a day fishing on the waters of Brisbane Water National Park.

We have hired our dinghy from Andersons Boatshed . They have a variety of 14ft, 16ft or 18ft boats and a boat license is not required. It is open as early as 7:30 in the morning for you to try to catch that mighty big fish (ours was a decent size flathead). Bait, road hire and fishing tackle are all available at the kiosk so you do not need to worry in case you are short on something. Overnight hire and long term hire of the boats are also available.



We took our dog with us as the boats are dog friendly so you do not need to leave your four legged friend at home.

You'll find Andersons Boatshed at 3a Petit St Booker Bay, which is about 80 km north of Sydney. So don't wait for the sun to disappear; get your family and family pet together and spend some fun fishing time on the water.
