is a small playground and recreation area located in Indented Head on the Bellarine Peninsula, approximately 40 minutes' drive from Geelong.
The playground is located at the southern end of Anderson Reserve Holiday Park, but is outside the camping area, and is open to the public all year round.
The playground is set over pine bark and features a range of equipment, including:
Swingset with standard swing and toddler swing
Slide
Monkey bars
Shop counter
Noughts and crosses board
Fireman's pole
Solid metal ladder
Wobbly chain ladder
On the grass reserve next to the playground, there are a number of picnic tables, as well as a large wooden block seat.
The playground can be accessed by road from The Esplanade, or via The Foreshore walking track. There are free parking spaces located next to the playground, however, it gets very busy during the summer camping period so it may be easier to park in one of the nearby streets and walk.
When you're finished at the playground, The Foreshore walking track continues south along the coast, passing through Taylor Reserve and Batman Park, where you'll find other playgrounds to explore. The beach is also just metres away and is a great place for the kids to look for shells and other treasures.
Camping:
If you're interested in camping, Anderson Reserve has 69 camping sites and is open this summer from the 14th of December 2018, until the 28th of April 2019.
An
online brochure is available for those interested in camping at the reserve, and bookings and enquiries can be made online at the
Bellarine Bayside Coastal Management website .
Overall, it's a great little playground and picnic area to explore, especially during the cooler months when it's less busy.
