Down the alley bar and tapas
In need of a drink on a Friday night after a long stressful week? Looking for a place to go on a date? Well this is the place.

Andaluz in Perth CBD is hidden away down a little alley but the perfect place to escape the busy city. Dim lighting, candles and glamorous furnishings create the perfect atmosphere for a date and drinks with the friends or partner. Though after my visit I witnessed many businessmen and clients making deals here too, so clearly it's a place to go to impress.

Reservations are available for lunch but not for evenings so be prepared for a wait as it does get quite busy! However with the extensive wine, champagne and cocktail list you will easily be able to pass the time satisfactorily. With cocktails averaging around $18 and a glass of wine at $12 this is reasonable pricing for the sky high prices of the city.

The All Day Menu has a variety of Spanish inspired tapas dishes, I recommend the asparagus, pistachio, pomegranate and pecorino dish, one of the best asparagus dishes I have tasted. However it's a little pricey for the size of it.

The pudding menu isn't as extensive as the other sections of the menu but with my background in everything sweet I highly recommend the churros with chocolate. Rich chocolate sauce with an unusual hint of salt complements the fluffy dough sticks covered in cinnamon sugar, what more could you want?

Whether you just want to go for a drink, dinner, dessert or nibbles, it is worth a visit, and the friendly staff will hopefully make it an enjoyable experience for you. It also provides a chance to get dressed up as many people come dressed to impress.

There are multiple ways of getting here, either by catching a train or bus to the Esplande as it's only a 5 minute walk from here. This gives you the excuse for a few more drinks. Or there are ample parking options in the CBD including free parking on Howard Street itself.
