The brings to Melbourne a glimpse of the exotic beauty of Turkish culture. Planned to kick off on 8 December 2013, all are invited to this one of a kind annual event which will be hosted in the heart of Melbourne at Federation Square.

[ADVERT]Experience the hospitality of the Turkish community as you will be treated to a sensory extravaganza with a plethora of cultural events. Guests will have the rare opportunity to enjoy live entertainment including whirling dervishes, traditional folk dances, oil wrestling, the popular Trojan Horse and replicas of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar! Concerts will be held by local and international artists including popular Turkish pop-star Ugar Isilak.

A major highlight of the event will be the replica of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is held to be one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with 61 covered streets and over 3000 shops. This bazaar attracts 250 000 to 400 000 visitors daily and offers all sorts of merchandise including alluring jewellery, ceramics, carpets, textiles and so forth. The Grand Bazaar in the festival will enable you to pick up some Christmas gifts for yourself or for family and friends. Take your pick from an amazing range of Turkish art and handcrafts. The market will be located along River Terrace.

No festival can be complete without the delicious presence of tasty fare. Introduce your tastebuds to the traditional Turkish cuisine, which will be cooked on site and served fresh at the Anatolian kitchens.
