Everyone that I know says the best pho is at AN Restaurant in Bankstown - you know it's great pho when the only main on the menu is pho - the only other options are classic Vietnamese drinks and desserts.
As soon as you walk into this clean and airy restaurant, a waiter dressed in the AN Restaurant polo will show you to your table and will be ready to take your order. You'll appreciate this quick service if you already know what you want (I always choose Pho Tai - rare beef pho). If you're unsure, however, you'll be given a clear and easy to understand menu. The service is quick, but never rude nor rushed.
After the waiter takes down your order, don't be surprised that your pho is served to you within minutes. You will be given fresh Vietnamese garnishes for your pho - Vietnamese mint, bean sprouts and two slices of lemon. You will also be given a free, unlimited supply of hot tea.
What really stands out about this place is how clean the pho tastes. The noodles are fresh and silky, whilst still maintaining its shape. The soup has a lot of flavours, but isn't heavy - I always drink all of the soup.
If you can find a better pho in Sydney, let me know! Otherwise, I suggest you check this place out - it might become your favourite pho place.
