I am a world traveller & a mom of two, (8 & 6). I love to meet people, and am fascinated that there are 7 billion stories out there to be explored. I think Melbourne is the most happening city to live in with all the fun activities around town.
Event:
Ready to talk Physics?
You have probably heard the gravitational waves and black holes making headlines all around the world in the recent media coverage.

If you have ever had questions that intrigue you about these and other physics and astronomy theories, you are in luck, as one of the most famous physicists of our times, Dr Brian Greene is coming to Australia, and has a one night speaking engagement at the Melbourne Park Function Centre on Saturday, 19 March 2016 at 6:00pm.

Brief Biography of Dr Brian Greene:

From Harvard University to Oxford University, Dr Greene is a Rhodes Scholar, and a strong supporter of the string theory.

He has written many books: The Elegant Universe, The Fabric of Cosmos (2005), The Hidden Reality: Parallel Universes and the Deep Laws of the Cosmos (2011).

Since 1996, he has been a professor at Columbia University and also co-founded the World Science Festival in 2008.

Dr Greene's strength lies in being a great communicator for those who may be interested in science but are illiterate in the complexities of it. He has also written a science fiction book for kids called the Edge of Time (2008), in which the main character Icarus travels to a black hole. Dr Greene believes science must be made accessible to general audiences in new and compelling ways, through festivals, stage shows, books for children, conferences, etc.

Tickets to the event can be purchased via Ticketek, and range from $80-$265.
