Stimulate your femininity with the beauty of Pearls
They say diamonds are a girl's best friend however I disagree because whenever I wear pearls I always feel confident, more feminine and an overall feeling that they are bringing a softness to my personality. So, I was intrigued to learn that pearls symbolise purity, honesty, wisdom, integrity and are said to stimulate your femininity aiding you to accept yourself.

From 6.00pm on Thursday 24th November 2016, the Herston Lions Club is hosting an Evening of Pearls, wine and cheese to raise money for Mother and Child Health in Papua New Guinea. The funds raised will go towards building birthing huts and providing infant care packs for rural women in the country.

In Papua New Guinea mothers can walk up to thirty or forty miles to a health centre; sometimes not making it in time or they can die on the roadside. The development of bush huts in addition to the health centres have been successful in giving mothers the opportunity to stay under medical supervision until their baby arrives. Each hut costs approximately A$700.00 to build.

The pearls, art, jewellery and furniture you will see on the night is all provided by PandaPearls Australia Pty Ltd of Nundah. PandaPearls was voted by Style Magazine as Brisbane's Best Kept Secret and houses a trove of wholesale priced pearls and antique enhancers. Over a lifetime, owner Amanda has been collecting everything from shells, coins, fur coats, Aboriginal and oriental art, vintage jewellery and even taxidermy which eventuated into the business creation of PandaPearls.

You will also get the opportunity to learn more about pearls as many may not know how to clean their pearls, how to store them and when and when not to wear them. Remember pearls are organis gems, that is they have been produced by organisms.
