I first started going to Goolwa in the 1940's and continue to go there. In those days it was a sleepy small town, but nevertheless, full of character, due to it's history and wharf precinct and place to go fishing and swimming. It has now become a popular tourist destination , with a growing population.Glad to see the town progress over the years and retain that easy going style and sense of days gone by.A wonderful days trip can be had from Strathalbyn to Victor Harbor, with a stop off at Goolwa and Pt.Elliot.
