It's been a while since we've been bowling as a family. Sure the kids have been to numerous bowling birthday parties, but I usually find the centres are too dark and the music is too loud to actually enjoy the experience. But we recently checked out a new AMF centre at Revesby and we were pleasantly surprised.

Want to check out the new AMF Revesby?
AMF Revesby is located in the new Revesby Village Centre, attached to Revesby Workers Club. Parking was easy, and better still free, in the Workers Club car park located off Brett Street.

When you arrive you are greeted with a warm welcome
The centre is brand new and has only been open a few months. We found it to be welcoming and nicely laid out. Unlike older bowling alleys, the lanes have been split in to two sections on opposite sides of the centre. In the middle is the reception, café, arcade games area, and party room.
The centre is small and there are only 11 bowling lanes so make sure you book ahead if possible. We hadn't booked but luckily we didn't have to wait very long.

Don't forget to pack your socks
Once you have your snazzy bowling shoes sorted (something that has not changed with bowling), you are ready to roll.

Let's bowl!
The advantages of having only 5 or 6 lanes in one section is that it is less crowded and it is not as noisy. We found it a much nicer atmosphere than other bowling centres. There was still music and videos but it wasn't overpowering.

Comfortable lounge area
We really liked the lounge areas in the bowling section. They were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our party of six even when there were other people bowling in the adjacent lanes.
All the scoring is done for you automatically and displayed on the screen above the bowling alley. If there are any technical issues (our lane seemed to freeze a couple of times during our game) the reception staff are able to come and sort it out.
There is a café within AMF which serves hot and cold drinks, burgers, wraps and sweet treats. We ordered coffees and they were served to us while we were bowling. So even if the scoreboard is not your friend you can still feel like you are winning.

The cafe

The menu
There are also tables and plenty of seating near the café as well as a licensed bar.
The arcade games area is large and includes an attractive party room at the back. For information about booking a birthday party please

Arcade games

Party room
For adults one game of bowling costs $16.90 and for children one game costs $14.90. This includes your shoe hire. During school holidays or after 5pm there are often special deals available. You can check for special offers on the

We enjoyed our game of bowling and would definitely recommend this centre to others for a relaxing and fun family activity.
