An impeccable restaurant for a festive occasion is Ambrosia Mediterranean Cuisine in Hawthorn East. The white-cloth family restaurant is a local favourite and is known for its friendly atmosphere and use of fresh ingredients.

The restaurant has maintained its reputation for serving a careful selection of char-grilled meats and seafood. Whilst you can choose to go la carte, the banquet course, Ambrosia Experience, is recommended at $48.50 (as of December 2012) per person, available to be shared among four friends / family members or more. With the starter of Mediterranean dips and bread, Ambrosia will give you all of what they are well-known for, including chargrilled skewers of meat and seafood in one big party plate as pictured above.





After the variety of savoury flavours comes Turkish sweet pie, baklava, and custard galaktoboureko. The refreshing desserts are served with coffee or tea.



To accompany your meal, a large selection of wines and beers are in house, along with a wall of liqueurs at the bar. This char-grilled heaven is located conveniently at Camberwell Junction. Make a booking to be sure you'll get a seat.
