The Ambleside Historic Homestead & Museum, located at 3 Olivebank Road in Ferntree Gully, is asking children to add to the colour, fun and spirit of the day by dressing up in their favourite costume. Everybody who dresses up will receive a free sticker as a reward.
The lawn will play host to an assembly of community clubs and groups, craft stalls and crafting demonstrations, games, competitions, activities and storytelling for the kids. There will be music and live entertainment for your viewing pleasure and one of the musical highlight is sure to be the bush band leading some old-style dancing.
Find the perfect setting for a homemade family picnic or purchase something from one of the onsite food and drink vendors.
The 1890's built Ambleside historic homestead is a picturesque step back in time. Built by pioneer settler, Ephraim Hansen, this charming property has been carefully maintained by the Knox Historical Society for the enjoyment of all. Needless to say, the family fun day is a wonderful opportunity to visit as there will be plenty of extra things to see and do on the day.
