is located in Alstonville, an hour and forty minute drive south of the Gold Coast, between Ballina and Lismore. Entry into the live hedge maze is $36 for a family (or $32.50 if you purchase tickets online). The maze is open 7 days 10am- 4:30pm during the school holiday, and Thursday to Sunday during the school term.

The interwoven trees which form the walls of the maze are amazing. This lattice maze is cleverly designed so that there are no frustrating dead ends. The "seekers game" sheets draw your attention to the many sculptures hidden throughout the maze. This scavenger hunt quiz provides additional family fun and opportunity to enjoy the maze longer. Watching the children run excitedly through the maze in the fresh mountain air makes this a worthwhile day trip and money well spent on quality family time.

An added bonus to the day is being greeted by three friendly alpacas near the maze entrance. School holiday visitors can enjoy free Alpaca feeding at 11am.

At the cafe, children can play puzzle games while parents relax with a coffee and delicious home-made cake. The delicious smells wafting through the cafe and appetising menu selection may also tempt you to stay for lunch.

A final note about getting there - don't rely on your GPS, as recent road works prevent you from turning right onto Bruxner Hwy when travelling south via the Pacific Hwy. We found ourselves driving further south and taking the scenic drive up Wardell Rd to Alstonville. If you want to get to your destination quicker you'll have to get onto Bruxner Hwy via the roundabout exit to Ballina.
