Motto: Have a plan and be prepared.

It doesn't matter how old or young you are, there is something incomparably fun about taking a ride in a miniature train. The perfect family daytrip, especially while the weather is still fine, is the Altona Miniature Railway in Newport this March.

With several different miniature engines pulling carriages of passengers, the 1.5km of track caters to everyone.

The next open day at the Altona Miniature Railway is being held on Sunday 19th March, from 11am to 4pm at 1 Blenheim Road, Newport. Tickets start at $3 per person with EFTPOS facilities available. Alternatively, buy an all day ride pass for $18 per person or 11 rides for $30. Under 12 months ride free.

Make a day of it and bring a picnic or consider the options on offer by onsite vendors selling a select menu of food and drink.

The Altona Miniature Railway is open on the 3rd Sunday of every month or can be booked for private functions and parties upon request.
