We ordered one of their signature dishes - crispy pork belly with plum sauce and green apple. The pork was the star of the dish, cooked perfectly and the plum sauce was sticky and sweet. This was a modern take on a classic Chinese dish with the green apple adding a refreshing element to the sweet pork.
If you're not a fan of sweet mains you'll have to try their spicy dishes. One of these being the Indian inspired Pong Gari curry with prawn, Asian celery and baby corn. I admit I'm a novice when it comes to Indian food and this was actually my first taste of an Indian curry. The Pong Gari curry was packed full of flavour with just the right amount of spice and perfectly cooked prawns.
Other dishes on their menu include some Thai favourites like Massaman and Jungle curries and coconut chicken or sweet pork salads. The snapper dish at the neighbouring table also looked absolutely incredible.
The menu is by no means extensive but all of the dishes we saw coming out of their busy kitchen looked incredible. It was easy to see why every table was occupied at this trendy looking eatery.
My only criticism is the floor of their outdoor eating space was quite uneven and sloping at our table which wasn't ideal. My recommendation is to book a table indoors as the interior is decked out quite nicely.
Located on Cronulla's busy Kingsway, a stone's throw from the water's edge, Alphabet St was a pleasantly surprising find.
