"Old Camp" is the official name of the campsite known as the Allyn River Campground.
Allyn River campsite is a great spot to take the whole family on a weekend getaway. Located next to the Allyn River, near the crossing of the Barrington River and nestled in the scenic Chichester and Barrington National Parks.
Close by is the renowned "Ladies Well" swimming hole, with its gorgeous water falls for swimming and li-lowing.
There are public "drop" toilets, but everything else is strictly BYO.
If it's at all possible to get bored (highly unlikely), you could hop in the car and take a day trip to the magnificent sights of the "Barrington Retreat", where the former Barrington Guest House was located. Or you could park the car at the Lagoon Pinch Car Park and take a stroll up along "Carey's Peak Trail". This is only best done for the fitter of us. It is worth the trip or he magnificent views.
Be aware that the Allyn River Camp is a VERY popular spot so don't be surprised if you can't get a campsite if you arrive late. However there are many campsites dotted along the road. Another well known spot is "Frying Pan Creek" campsite.

Also it is extremely important to check weather and fire conditions before you head off for the weekend. There is no mobile phone reception, but there is a public phone box about 5km away from the campsite.
