Experience a Little French in Perth
On the outskirts of Perth city, one will find a quaint little cafe with a definite 'French Rivera' feel to it. This little cafe, which hums with activity over lunchtime, can be found on Wellington Street, near Wellington Square.
While I have never had the fortune of visiting France, I could almost feel I was there. French-style tables and chairs were placed perfectly under a beautiful tree. I closed my eyes momentarily, and I imagined myself sitting along the des Champs-Élysées, a place which seems to buzz with activity. The only difference was that Allure Cafe is quieter than its imaginable French 'twin'.
The interior was clean, lively and inviting. The cabinets displayed a selection of pastries and freshly made lunch options. Notably, I had already had breakfast, so passing on the delicious options was hard. However, I decided to settle for an almond latte.
Instead of rushing off to work, I decided to stay for a while and enjoy the moment. I sipped the perfectly made almond latte while watching the world whizz by. For a brief moment, time stopped. The shade of the tree cooled a hot summer day, and the gentle breeze seemed to craft an unforgettable ambient experience.
Allure Cafe, ironically, has only been open for just under a year but has already gained approval from people working in this area. For those driving into the city, there is a fee-based parking in the area. Alternatively, if you are exploring Perth, this may be a great addition to your itinerary.
