After a hiatus of four years, the much-loved French Christmas Market is making a return, and this time it will be held over three days in Melbourne city centre's Madame Brussels Lane, 50 Lonsdale St, Melbourne from 1-3 Dec 2023 (Fri 11am-9pm, Sat 10am-9pm, Sun 10am-4pm). Gift hunters and market lovers alike – save the date. Entry is free. Come along and kick off the festive season in style and join the one and only French Xmas Market with stalls featuring delicious French food and fabulous French-themed Christmas gifts. Each ticket purchased directly supports art and culture and will contribute towards the creation of French cultural and community events for all Melburnians. Tickets are $10 each, and get cheaper, the more you buy eg 10 tickets for $75. They're available online from 16 October to 4 December, and in-person at the reception of Alliance Française de Melbourne 's CBD campus, their cultural Pop-Up, and at the Market. Winners will be announced on 5 December by 6pm! You'll find the T&Cs here . Some of the prizes waiting to be won include a trip for two to New Caledonia; a luxury city break in the Paris end of Melbourne; French-inspired fashion; a delicious hamper of French gourmet products; skincare and beauty treatment; premium French spirits; a single French language course; French cuisine at a leading French restaurant; a sport bike; a three-course dinner for two at on-campus restaurant Cilantro, and a voucher for services and treatment at Franck Provost Paris Hairdressing Salon.

Prior to the Christmas Market, you might be interested in a cheeky little event by Alliance Française de Melbourne on Thursday 16 November 2023 from 6pm to 8pm. The Apéro - Beaujolais is something that's celebrated every year in France on the third Thursday of November. It's a tradition that celebrates the new Beaujolais wine. Be sure to get your tickets here for this French tradition now in Melbourne. Partnering with Bordeaux and Beyond for a special Beaujolais party, think red wine, cheese, saucisson, pate, and lots of fun times. The Beaujolais wine will also be available for purchase.
