French language school and cultural centre

Parlez-vous français?

Alliance Française de Brisbane is currently offering a range of French language courses for all levels, priced from $13 an hour; come along and sign-up to one of their regular courses (once a week for 10 weeks) or opt for their semi-intensive course (twice a week for 5 weeks) or intensive course (every weekday for 2 weeks).

These general courses are perfect for complete beginners or students with very little French; under the guidance of the qualified tutors, students will learn the alphabet, numbers and common greetings and phrases. Each respective course is held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and together students will become more confident in their French language skills.

Additionally these courses also allow students to meet like-minded individuals and can open up a whole new world of possibilities; whether it be travel, international job opportunities or further education.

If you are unable to commit to a course, there are other ways Alliance Française de Brisbane can help you master the French language; Holiday Workshops are held throughout the year. These workshops focus on specific language skills or on some cultural aspect and run between 5 and 6 hours. Plus in mid-2014 Alliance Française de Brisbane is launching new online courses. You can register your interest in the online courses by writing to the course coordinator: sophie@afbrisbane.com.

Private tuition is also available and there are also courses specifically designed for children and teenagers.

However, Alliance Française de Brisbane is not just a language centre; it also promotes French culture in Australia. Come along and enjoy film screenings, art and photography exhibitions, a monthly bookclub and much, much more; there is always something on at Alliance Française de Brisbane!

The Alliance Française de Brisbane is also co-organising two major cultural festivals this winter: the Fête de la Musique, an annual music festival which takes place on June 21 in cities around the world & the Brisbane French Festival 2014 - Australia's largest celebration of everything French!
