Mushroom buns instead of bread sounds good to me!
So if you are gluten intolerant and don't eat meat, this dish is perfect. This was our first time at The Alleyway, a new cafe which is now open for dinner as well. Located alongside an alleyway hence the name.
Burgandy street in Heidelberg is fast becoming a great location to hang out on weekends and evenings with a great choice of cafes and restaurants lining the street. As new apartments are popping up, so are the cafes!
Sandwiched between two field mushrooms is a mix of ricotta cheese and grilled zucchini, chopped roasted capsicum, green peppers and sweet potato. The sweet potato chips make a great shared side dish. They remained hot and crispy throughout the course of our dinner!
Food is well priced and staff are friendly and attentive. I will be back to try their breakfast menu!
