I've been to my fair share of all-you-can-eat buffets, but I've got to say, in my opinion, the best is that which you will find at the bistro at the Roxburgh Park Hotel .

The atmosphere of the bistro is really wonderful, with modern furnishings and comfortable seating. The staff is all super-friendly and helpful. It is a great restaurant for families as it also has a small playing area for children so they will be kept happy, even when they're done eating. My nephew couldn't get enough of it.

The food, which really is the most important thing, is actually delicious. There is a huge variety, ranging from seafood to Asian food to soups to pastas. There really is something for everyone. I don't even eat seafood but the seafood display made me want to try it all.

All the food really is top quality - the chefs prepare them all right before your eyes. The wok is pretty cool, bursting with flames occasionally. Not sure if that's supposed to happen, but it looks cool. And the place didn't burn down, so that was good. The vegetarian risotto was a favourite of mine, very creamy, with very little mushrooms, which was excellent. The dim-sums and the spring rolls were also delicious, as was the honey chicken. My mum said she couldn't try it because her brain couldn't grasp the idea of sweet chicken, which I could relate to because I felt the same way about iced tea. However, the concept of sweet chicken worked very well on my tongue.

A part from the delectable food, there is also a dessert table with any dessert you'd like. Chocolate truffles, custard-filled cannolis, sticky-date pudding, ice cream, mousse (both chocolate and wild-berry) and more. I admit I tried basically everything. It all looked too incredible to resist. And the appearance was not misleading. It all tasted impeccable - especially the wild-berry mousse, which I'd never tasted before, and the sticky-date pudding. Wow. I'm salivating just remembering it all.

There is also a bar there that sells soft drinks, coffee, wine, etc. but the drinks are separate to the buffet cost. Children under 12, however, get complimentary drinks. The restaurant also caters gluten-free and halal foods.

It really is a wonderful experience, eating at this all-you-can-eat buffet. The place is beautiful, the staff is very friendly - they come by and take your dishes the moment you're done with them - and it is excellent value. Adults can eat anything and everything for only $25. Children under 12 eat for just $13. There isn't really a downside, except for the fact that you have a limited time in the actual restaurant. For example, I went at 5:30 and had until 7:20 to eat as much as I could. Really, though, almost two hours is more than enough to fill your stomach to the point that you can no longer move. Right?

So if you find yourself bored, hungry and in possession of a car, head on over to the Roxburgh Park Hotel and enjoy a whole lot of food and desserts.
