The 6th annual All Things Vintage Car Boot Sale is just around the corner. It will be held on Sunday 4th November 2018 9am-1pm at Maida Vale Reserve.

This quirky event has become a favourite on the vintage calendar and this year it is set to attract more crowds than ever with the promise of the best year yet.

This well-run community event in the park brings together people from Perth and beyond who are enthusiastic collectors, who all share the same love of all things vintage and retro.

Buying vintage is ethically sound and environmentally friendly. The recycling and upcycling movement is more apparent than ever and to create a sustainable future, we must be kind to our Earth and buy more vintage/retro items and join the recycling revolution.

Whether you are buying items for the home or to wear, vintage offer something quirky and different and will always offer uniqueness.

Are you looking for an individual and interesting piece? Maybe a 'one off' item, an investment buy or something you didn't even know you needed and can't live without? Whatever you are looking for, you will find it here.

This is no ordinary car boot. All stalls are selling only genuine vintage/retro items pre 1990's and there is a diverse range of collectables and recycled items for sale including homewares, clothing, toys, records and books.

In addition to the 70 plus stalls (what a treat to have so many sellers in one place!), you will find Turkish food and pizza for morning snacks, an ice cream van plus two coffee vans to keep you fuelled to carry on bargain hunting.

Bring a picnic (or buy food on site) and enjoy the sounds of local DJ, Matt Cal, who will be spinning some vinyl tunes and Rhubarb Records will be along with a prize or two for the retro dance-off competition.

Adele Standeven started this event to get vintage sellers off their computers and out of their shops to meet, greet and sell in a green environment. Adele's vision has worked. Adele's creativity saw an opportunity and it's potential and this event was born.

It has a great following and attracts a fantastic mix of stallholders from WA. They travel from the South West, the Wheatbelt and north of Perth to be part of this friendly and successful event.

If you haven't tried upcycling, this is the perfect opportunity to buy an item and give it a go. It doesn't have to be a big item, something small will get you hooked and give you the bug.

One of the things that attract me to vintage and retro goods is that they all have a story to tell. I love to know the history of an item. Ask the stallholder about the item you are interested in and if they know the story, they will tell you.

Entry is by gold coin donation at the gate when you drive in, which is donated to a local not-for-profit organisation.

Remember your reusable bags.

This is a no smoking and alcohol-free event and unfortunately, no dogs are permitted.

Car parking is available at various car parks near the reserve.

If you would like to sell at this incredible event, please email [email protected] in advance (no bookings are taken on the day).
