Sumner – a super exciting duo from Tassie have just dropped their very cool electro single Pictures, out February 9. If you haven't yet heard of Sumner, now is the chance. Tasmanian, alternative R&B duo Chloe Wilson and Jack MacLaine have emerged on the Australian music scene with gusto thanks to Unearthed by Triple J in 2017. They may only be a young project, but their new single "Pictures" from their EP "All that I Am" released February 16, 2018, shows musical depth far beyond their years.

The alternative R&B vibe and electronic production really stand out as unique features that captivate audiences during live performances. Last year, Sumner supported Vera Blue, Montaigne and performed at Party in the Paddock Festival and Falls Festival.

The track, "Pictures", features melancholic riffs which provide a seamless ride for the emotional melody and open dialogue of Sumner's soulful lyrics. The interplay between Jack and Chloe's vocals and the downtempo nature of this entire track captivates the listener during the two and half minutes of the R&B soulful dialogue written by Chloe. 'Pictures', is an addictive track that you will sure to want to hear on repeat. Sumner showcases loads of potential and I'm looking forward to hearing more from this duo. You can download their four-track EP "All That I Am" now available on Spotify.
