A Church filled with fascinating history is a must visit
There is always something tranquil when you visit a place of worship, whether you are a believer of a higher power or not, there is no doubt some reason you find peace within yourself.

Nestled in a small picturesque town in the Far South Coast of New South Wales, All Saints Church in Bodalla is a historical Anglican Church that is splendidly apportioned in this rural region and certainly gives you that tranquillity.

The church has a fascinating history and with amazing views of the breathtaking coastal hinterland, it certainly makes a delightful pit stop as it sits atop of a hill on the outskirts of this small town. All Saints Church was erected in 1880 making it one of the historical sites of New South Wales.

As we drove up the slight steep hill, we were welcomed with a wonderful worn out foundation of stone and you could not help but notice the hand wrought iron hinges and straps on the stone front door.

The interior is all made from oak woodwork, tiles, and marble mosaic. You cannot help but stand in awe as you see the stained glass windows and the pipe organ- that was originally from England.

On the walls, once you enter, you will find many tablets all in memory of the members of the Mort family and various worshipers of the past.

It was quite interesting reading these tablets and learning about the history of the church.

Outside views of the coastal hinterlands can be seen from the tower of the church, as you walk around the grounds of the church you are welcomed with pleasant gardens and a memorial garden with plaques.

This is certainly one spectacular historical church to visit.

Whether you are driving past, staying nearby or just visiting, be sure to stop and admire the beauty of this historical church inside and out!

Bodalla is located on the Princes Highway and is nestled between the towns of Moruya and Narooma. All Saints Church Bodalla is located approx 4 hours from Sydney CBD or approx 2 hours from Canberra.

Their website did not seem to mention if the building is open to passing visitors. It did have a page of interior photos and a good page of funnies! =)
