All Inn Brewing Co. is one of Brisbane's best kept secrets. Frequented by locals, it is a hidden gem located in Banyo, just 13km north of the CBD. Banyo is an interesting suburb that is half residential and half industrial — it is in these types of places that you find your favourite haunts.
All Inn Brewing Co. is not just a bar and brewery - on some days, it also has live music and even food trucks. Check out their website for a list, updated every month. They also have a nominated charity each month that they raise money for - this month it is Legacy. In addition, they strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible. They generate their own solar electricity (52,818 Kwh as of the 24th of March 2016), recycle and reuse waste water, provide local farmers with cattle feed in the form of used grain, and fertilisers to local gardeners in the form of hops.
Now onto the important part, the actual beer. Beer is by far my favourite type of alcohol, and I have to admit that I am slightly picky about it. All Inn Brewing Co. have an extensive range of craft beers — it was so hard narrowing them down to just a couple. I ended up getting Hefe and Penny (recommended by a worker there), as well as Chocolate Rain (hazelnut), and Trial 2.0 (apple cider). All their names were really interesting, and they all seemed really good. At one point in time, I did consider getting all they had on offer.
Unfortunately, I don't remember which beers my friend got, but I do remember they tasted as good as mine did. They were all spectacular. My personal favourite was Penny; there's a reason why Penny is the beer of the month this April. The cheeses were equally amazing, if not more so - we had Cheddar, Smoked Cheddar, Red Chilli, Wild Wasabi, and Rubicorn Red. In my opinion, Wild Wasabi was the best one.
We also got a cheese platter, with 5 different types of cheese each.
The staff were really friendly, as were the other patrons. Perhaps this explains why the place was buzzing with excitement and energy. Although there were quite a number of people there, the area was spacious with ample seating (both indoor and outdoor), meaning that it didn't feel crowded at all. A beer tasting paddle of 4 craft beers, 5 different types of cheese, and a pack of crackers is usually $32, but there is currently a deal on GroupOn for only $15 - that's 52% off! Get in quick while the deal is still valid - it's such a great value for money.
As if the beers and cheeses weren't good enough, this place is also dog friendly. And by dog friendly, I mean my seating choice isn't limited because of my furry best friend. This is the first eatery I've come across that allows dogs to sit both indoors and outdoors. This pretty much sealed the deal for me; I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the beers on their list. Thank you All Inn Brewing Co. for such a great Friday night.
