Forget Krispy Kreme's. When you crave a donut and a coffee, visit Melbourne's newest sweet foodie addition , a cafe hidden in an unsightly brown brick premises down a Sydney Road side street.

When following google maps to find the cafe, look out for the exact opposite exterior of every donut shop you've been to. Unlike the notoriously colourful Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme establishments, the only thing that indicates this venue sells donuts is a swinging 'open' sign in the shape of a donut.

Once found you won't know what you're walking in to, but you will be pleasantly surprised to count upon an adorable diner, decked out with pastel pink and mint napkins and crisp white table cloths. The staff members are also pleasant and charming, with wide smiles, striped aprons and bright white chef's hats.





At the counter expect to see more colour with samples of six different mouth watering iced donut flavours laid out before you. Depending on the day, Strawberry Cheesecake, Lime Brulee and Coffee Glaze with Passionfruit curd are some of the specialist flavours available. And count on the original All Day Donut 'OG Glaze' to always be there.





Importantly, I'm pleased to let you know the donuts taste as good as they look. I can assure you that the sweet strawberry icing along with the cheesecake curd that fills the bottom half takes like a delightful fluffy strawberry cheesecake donut. OG Glaze is bigger and better than any glazed donut on the street, and Iced Vovo is not one to missed.



Despite what the its name suggests, is open Wed, Thurs, Fri from 8am to 3pm and Sat and Sun from 9 to 4pm.
