Hand up if you are all British! You know what I mean, you are a descendent of a long line of people born and bred in the British Isles. Right, got your hand up? Yes, me too. Well that's got absolutely nothing to do with this event, other than that you might just have a love of British motor vehicles.

Since the early 1980's South Australia has hosted All British Day , a day when like minded enthusiasts from local car clubs have hosted a picnic day incorporating a display of British vehicles. Since the early days of being located in the Adelaide metropolitan area, it migrated to Uraidla and the day has now grown to being located in the stunning and iconic Adelaide Hills township of Echunga .

In 2018, from 10.30 am to 3 pm on Sunday 11 February 2018 from 10.30 am to 3 pm, located at Echunga Recreation Grounds, Echunga Road, Echunga you will enjoy the second biggest (Bay to Birdwood being the biggest) static display of vehicles on South Australia's calendar. All British Day brings over 800 vehicles (cars and bikes) into one location for the day with all vehicles arranged across two ovals by year, make, model, era and marquee from the beginning to modern day. Think Aston Martin, Lotus, Bentley, Mini, McLaren, MG, Morgan, Land Rover, Jaguar and Vauxhaul. This is a journey through time and British vehicle manufacturing history.

This year is special however, as 2018 marks 70 years of the Land Rover. There will also be a Rolls Royce Merlin engine demonstration.

If you get hungry while working your way through the time capsule a large range of food is available with hot dogs, sandwiches, hamburgers, ice cream, cakes, hot chips, baked potatoes and drinks on offer from a variety of stalls and food trucks. Or you can bring along a picnic to enjoy, if the food truck offerings do not delight you. There will be large marquees set up for you to enjoy in the shade.

Bring the kiddies along and if they get bored with the vehicles, there is plenty to keep them occupied. There will be a Punch and Judy Show, face painting, scale electronic cars, baby farm animals for them to enjoy.

Once you have finished enjoying the vehicles, come along to Traders Alley where you can purchase merchandise such as stickers, mugs, stubby holders, t-shirts, hoodies and car seat covers. Plus every $10 you spend puts you into the draw for up to $5,000 worth of prizes ranging from Subway vouchers to automotive shop vouchers. Come along and support South Australian small businesses such as Finch Restorations , Collectable Classic Cars or Adelaide Hills Panel Works . There is no fun in me naming them all, so come along and check them out.

Assistance dogs are welcome, however please leave pets at home.

Cost is $8 for adults, $4.50 for children up to 18 years or $25 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. All proceeds go to Guide Dogs SA/NT .

Plenty of parking is available and will be hosted by CFS Volunteers, who will assist and direct you to available parking. Please be aware that parking is in a paddock and therefore low vehicles may not be able to access.
**
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that the day is rated as a Catastrophic Fire Danger Day or forecast to be over 40 degrees C in the Mt Lofty Ranges, this event will be cancelled. Please check the Event Page if you are unsure.**
