This adoption and rescue day is presented by the Staffy and Bully Breed Rescue. It will be held on Sunday 3rd March 2019, from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Dixon Road Reserve, Rockingham - corner of Dixon Road and Dowling Street.

Many of us already own pets and most of us would agree that owning a pet is such a unique and loving experience. It is also good for children, as they can learn to look after a pet and know what is involved. This event will give you a choice in pets - whether you would like a dog, a cat or perhaps something even smaller.

This will be the first such event that the organisation has put on so I hope many will turn up to help make it a success. More importantly, however, they need to place animals in their forever loving homes, so that no animal will have to be put down.

The event will be an animal lover's paradise and unite rescue and animal welfare groups with members of the public. These rescue groups work very hard so that they do not have to euthanise animals.

There will also be stalls at the event and activities you can expect include:


It will be a family-friendly, pet-friendly event, so bring your dog or dogs on a leash if your pet is well behaved!

Entry will be by gold coin donation, which will go towards the running of the association.

One of the stalls at the event will be Stroopie and Co , who will have sweet treats for humans.



Another stall who will be attending this event is Trendy Furbabies. They sell handmade pet products to keep your pup/dog a fashionable! All their products are made to order in Perth and 10% of their profit goes to a new animal rescue group each month.



One of the rescue groups there is the Impound Feline Rescue , who will have cats and kittens in desperate need of a good home.



Organisers would also ask that you support the rescue cause by bringing along donations of food and quality new and used pet-related items. These will be divided up amongst the groups at the event to help with the animals in their care.

[b]Staffy & Bully Rescue[/b]
This group was founded in 2008. They are a non-profit organisation who rescue, rehome and teach responsible ownership of Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Bull breed dogs including crossbreeds.

They want to ensure that no companion dog is ever euthanised due to neglect and treatable poor health, lack of training, abuse, lack of a home and/or age. They also strive for the best quality of life for all dogs.
