All About Women festival returns to the Sydney Opera House on 5 March 2017, celebrating its fifth year of shaking up stereotypes, breaking the glass ceiling, and exploring intersectionality.
Each year, the All About Women festival coincides with International Women's Day (March 8) and hosts a celebration of women through a full day of panels and talks concerning issues of importance to contemporary women. The diverse lineup features guests from around the world discussing the exhaustion of contemporary feminism, body shaming, the Syrian Civil War, politics, living with a disability, Indigenous women's issues, China's one-child policy, pop culture, sex, science, and more.
There is even an edition of the free movement phenomenon
No Lights, No Lycra (founded in Melbourne by dance students Alice Glenn and Heidi Barrett), allowing participants to engage with a non-pretentious environment and completely let loose and be themselves.
Tickets can be purchased online through the
Sydney Opera House's website . If you can't make it or miss out on tickets, there are livestreams being held right around Australia and New Zealand –
