Boutique Home Decor Store in Red Hill
Step inside and discover unique items for your home
This former hairdressing salon in suburban Arthur Terrace, Red Hill has been transformed into a classic, boutique homewares shop with an elegant range of décor and gifts inspiring to bring a unique style to your home or office. Alfred and Ivy homewares opened in October 2016 by owner Kim Holden.
Giant red bows (during the Christmas season) and a planter box filled with baby pink petunias and a curious vine welcome visitors to the store. Walking across the curb and up to the matte black entry doors, I get the feeling of boutique luxury with a basket of exquisite cushions waiting outside. (They would fit right at home on The Block). This gives a taste of things to come. Stepping inside I find that Alfred and Ivy stock the mandatory items of interior styling – easy throws, enticing room scents and rich, aromatic candles to create a sumptuous and warm feeling to a room. Then I spot wall mirrors, glassware for entertaining, and vases perfect for a favourite bouquet.
Cushions and more cushions
The back wall of the store features a blue and white floral wallpaper which frames the shop beautifully. At this festive time of year, Alfred and Ivy has a range of unique Christmas gifts and decorations including a fullsome, living topiary Christmas wreath. Even pooch can glam up in a puppy inspired bandana by Bonny and Charlie.
