I am a freelance writer from England living on the Coast in Australia. I one day dream to write major movie scripts in Hollywood!

Along the Esplanade, positioned next to the Alexandra Surf Club is a popular skate park. The skate park is always filled with youngsters skateboarding, rollerblading and riding BMX bikes. Whatever your choice of sport, it is always a good idea to try, and never too late. If new to the skating culture, the usuals at the skate park will be glad to show off and offer advice to anyone learning the basics. They will offer advice on where to get the best equipment and how to perform the desired trick.
As a photographer however this is a great opportunity to take some action shots, especially with the setting sun and the sea in the background. If you are a parent and your child is interested in these types of activities, then there are seating areas and lawn areas where you can stay and watch your child in case of any problems. The best time to go would be in the mornings as the park is not as busy. Do something you normally wouldn't do at the Alexandra Skate Park.
