Love piano? The come to the Snow Concert Hall on the 16th of October for a performance by
Alexandra Dariescu . Alexandra is a Romanian-British pianist, a trailblazer who demonstrates a sense of fearless curiosity, as well as fantastic ground-breaking innovation in her work within the classical music sphere. She is someone who champions lesser-known composers with a focus on female composers who also deserve to have their names known.
Alexandra is a soloist who is in demand all over the world. Because of her wonderful talent, Alexandra has performed with several eminent orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra National de France, Oslo Philharmonic and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
This wonderful new performance is called A Child’s Dream. It is part if Alexandra’s 30th anniversary of her debut concerto. A Child’s Dream is going to be a magical and captivating anthology of beautiful piano pieces, and includes some that may never have been heard before mixed in with familiar ones – and all of them special and part of who Alexandra is. Alexandra will finish the program with Chopin’s 24 Preludes.
