Havenít seen the mates for a while? Then see Alex Ward
The Brisbane Comedy Festival is celebrating its tenth year and plays host to over 70 national and international comedians over during March.
We enjoyed an hour of comedy with one of Australia's newest comedians, Alex Ward, in her show, No Flirting, best described as "an honest exploration of the insecurities we can't escape when in a relationship."
Alex has been performing stand up for 5 years and in that short time has achieved a creditworthy amount. In 2018 alone, Alex appeared on ABC Up Late Comedy, Tonightly with Tom Ballard, Triple J's Good Az Friday and The Project (as her character Pam). She is also a comedy writer for Network Ten's The Project.
An hour with Alex is like enjoying a few wines with the girlfriends on a Saturday night. Alex chats about relationships, engages with the audience, and makes everyone laugh. That's exactly what comedians are supposed to do, isn't it?
No Flirting commences at 6:45pm each night which makes it perfect if you work in Brisbane City. You can enjoy a drink in any of the surrounding bars, or in the Brisbane Comedy Festival Pop-Up Bar, spend an hour being entertained by Alex Ward, and then grab a meal from a variety of sources.
