Adelaide local who loves her city
Published July 9th 2011
The Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day. This park is one of Adelaide's little hidden secrets. Filled to the brim with native Australian flora and fauna, it's a wonderful place to breathe in the fresh sea air and marvel at the natural beauty.

Situated in the heart of the Willunga Sub-Basin, the park is home to creatures like bats, brush tail possums and echidnas just to name a few. Some of Australia's rarest orchid species can also be found at the park along with many other fascinating plants.

There is also a large range of bird life to be found, so it's perfect for all those avid bird watchers. Take the camera and get some great shots of the beautiful scenery. Aldinga is only a short drive from the city of Adelaide, so why not head up there this weekend?
