Indulge yourself with these Aldi treats
I have been a huge fan of Aldi supermarkets since they opened in Australia. I usually do a big grocery shop at my local once a week but apart from the usual groceries, I love buying 'special snacks' for the family. My favourite treat can vary depending on the season. At the moment, I am loving snacks I can enjoy whilst I watch TV or read a book.
One of my favourite ways to beat the winter chill is to stay indoors and keep warm. What better way, than to relax on the couch with hot cup of Chai Latte and a plate of Cartwheels? YUM!
Aldi Chai Latte
Classic India Instant Milk Tea, Cinnamon & Chai Flavoured Drink Mix. Simply mix the contents of the sachet into a cup of hot (boiled) water. $3.99 for a box of 10 sachets.
These corn chips make the best nachos, but if you're like me, you probably won't be able to resist eating them straight out of the packet. Super crunchy!
This yoghurt is so delicious and creamy, it's hard to believe that it is good for me. It comes in three flavours - plain, raspberry, and passionfruit. I find this yoghurt a great substitute for cream; great taste without the kilojoules.
Try it on fruit, muesli, porridge, and cake. Use it as a milk substitute for baking, it makes a great pizza dough culture, or simply, eat it on its own.
Aldi Diet Deli Yoghurt
Another low price: $2.69 for 380g tub.
And last but not least, there is chocolate! Aldi have an impressive choice of yummy chocolate bars, with flavour combinations to make your mouth water. I try to mix it up and buy random flavours here, because, let's face it, you can't go wrong with chocolate.
Only $2.49 for 200g block.
White chocolate is my favourite, followed closely by coffee and cream.
I have to say that I have tasted Cchocolate mentioned BUTTTTT IMHO, its not as fantastic as the MOSER ROTH Chocolate varieties you can buy from Germany. Once you have tasted this chocolate you will never want to try any other brand. Its about the same price and can be lower. Seriously good chocolate that I have ever tasted in my life. You can choose from Milk, 85% Dark cacao, which is to die for, Orange and Almond, which is just the same.. so delicious, then there is Mint and it would be good too but I havent tried it. OH and the Chilli one is blissfully divine. Its seriously good, not hot at all as one might think. There is one more I believe and I cant think of the flavour. Oh Hazelnut and also Mousse, yumm. All come in little wrapped rectangles so you can limit yourself. You can also grate it on top of cakes, coffee and the like. This is their top chocolate and quite inexpensive. One bite and you will go into 7th heaven! Seriously good. YummoooooH good on you Germany for making such a great product, ha nah I dont work for any of them but am rapt I found the best chocolate ever. It would win all the awards...seriously! ALDI'S IS THE BEST!
