is a quirky cafe located in Wilston Village, on Kedron Brook Road. It is a tiny cafe with just the space for a couple of people to make their order at the register or to pick up their takeaway coffee. offers breakfast, brunch and launch.

There are tables and chairs, benches under the big umbrellas in the space in front of the cafe. You sit down and the personnel take your orders. There are gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian options. The place is family-friendly, child-friendly and you can also bring your pooch.



The tiny interior of the cafe features a bench where there is the big coffee machine La Marzocco, with cups for coffee and cups for takeaway coffee. Behind the coffee machine, there is enough room for a couple of people to operate the machine and to take the orders. On the wall, there are many little shelves full of saucers, cups, marshmallows, liquors, milk and all the necessary items to run a coffee shop.



On one side, there is the kitchen where all the nice food is prepared.







In the cabinet, there are giant cookies, some of which are gluten-free. Peanut butter brownie, caramel pecan slice, caramel slice are gluten-free. Raw fig and lemon gluten-free and dairy-free. Chocolate macadamia brownie, caramel slice, orange and almond cake are gluten-free. In the savoury section, there is frittata/quiche served with salad, ham and cheese croissants and sandwiches. There are also muesli birchers.

Breakfast includes Alcove Breakfast with two poached eggs, bacon, Texan beans, frilled local halloumi, relish, sourdough, and choose from either semi-cured chorizo or fresh avocado for $23.90.

Loafs include fruit toast, banana, pear and cinnamon, coconut and raspberry for $10. Vanilla beans pancake served with berry, walnut praline, berry and pear compote, honey ricotta and maple syrup for $22.90.

Nourish bowl include miso, roasted pumpkin, edamame beans, baby spinach, avocado, pickled beetroot, hummus, carrot spirals and a poached egg for $22.90.







Grab and Go includes plain croissants, takeaway bircher muesli, take away ham and cheese and relish toasty.

For lunch, you can have burger, choose either slow-cooked beef brisket, streaky bacon, sliced tomato, cheddar cheese, house made pickle on a toasted Turkish roll or braised pork belly. Asian slaw, kimchi, wasabi, mayo and spinach on a toasted Turkish roll for $18.90. There are many types of sandwiches, vegetarian with salad, grilled chicken with salad, ham with salad for $16.90.











Sweets range from caramel slice, carrot cake, chocolate brownies, pecan slice and protein balls.

Alcove Cafe offers cold and hot drinks include hot chocolate, latte, flat white, macchiato, Milo and tea.





Deli offers drinking chocolate, milk, bread, tea and cakes.

**What does make the place so special?
**
I have been to Alcove Cafe a few times and every time I have had a good feeling. I enjoyed a good coffee and a great atmosphere. Once I organised to meet the group Hiking South East Qld in order to talk about a trip. Everyone enjoyed the coffee, the food and the ambience.

The personnel is professional and very pleasant. Alcove Cafe itself is tiny but there is a good outdoor area. In case of wind and rain, there is possibility to stay undercover. There are also many plants that create a nice atmosphere. You can order food and drinks and then go grab a loaf of freshly baked bread or loafs to take home.
