Have you started looking for Christmas presents yet? What do you get the people in your life who have everything? How to do you express love and the warmest of wishes with a mass produced item made by machine?

Perhaps it's time to think outside the conventional shopping centre and head down to The Alcove Art Shop in Box Hill community centre this year, for something unique and individually made, with love.

Alcove Art shop is operated by the Designer Art Shop Association, supporting local artists to sell their wares.

You could scoop up some Christmas decorations, as well as gifts. Imagine presenting a hand painted piece of art to a friend and you know they will not have another the same. Or a glass vase, unique in form and colour. Consider soaps which are organic, bio-dynamic, sustainable and natural for all every skin types, even sensitive skins, There are also textiles, wooden crafts and handcrafted paper. Basketry and cards are also here, perfect for presentation .

Opening night is Monday 21st of November at 6pm. You are invited to come down for some refreshments. There are also demonstrations by artists, check with the centre for times.
